Eastern Obolo Resources/Viability:

Eastern Obolo is richly endowed with human,material and natural resources: It is the major on-sore and off-shore oil producing Local Government in Akwa Ibom State.There is no argument about these facts. It contributes substantially to the wealth of Akwa Ibom State and indeed Nigeria with over 60 oil wells.Major multinational oil companies such as Shell (SPDC),ELF,EXXON Mobil,Sterling Global and NNPC Joint venture downstream companies also operate in the area which results in oil spillage and more environmentally pollution of the land,rivers,creeks and more in ocean with their attendant generally degradation of the environment.Most time the companies will not encourage cultivation of flowers in the environment to produce more oxygen.Most time the welfare of the host community is ignored, this go against the CSR. 

Furthermore,Eastern Obolo has a very high tourism potential as it stretches from IMO River estuary to the Qua Iboe River Estuary with resourceful natural sand beaches and fishpond naturally.This is great investment opportunities,this can attract billions of dollars to the Nigeria economy if well explored,harnessed and exploited maximally.

 

This post is to awaken us to investment opportunities for local and foreign investors. 

And to reflect on how there is no proper implementation of EIA agreement till now
